Diedrich Bader (born Karl Diedrich Bader on December 24, 1966) plays the part of Oswald Harvey, one of Drew's buddies, also one of the main characters on The Drew Carey Show.

Early life[]
Bader was born in Alexandria, Virginia, on [Christmas Eve, 1966, the son of German-born Gretta (Lange) Bader (1931–2014), a sculptor, and William B. Bader (1931–2016), a foundation executive who worked in politics.[1] His paternal great-grandfather was Edward Lawrence Bader, who was mayor of Atlantic City, New Jersey. When Diedrich was two years old, his family moved to Paris, France, but he returned to the U.S. to attend Groveton High School. He graduated from T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia, and attended college at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

A screen & voice actor, Diedrich is recognized in live action as Oswald Lee Harvey in The Drew Carey Show, Lawrence in Office Space, Charlie Davies in Outsourced, Jethro & Jethrine Bodine in The Beverly Hillbilles and Martial Artist Rex of Rex Kwon Do in the film Napoleon Dynamite (2004). In the realm of voice work, he can be heard in the roles of Batman in Batman: The Brave & the Bold and JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time, Guy Gardner in Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Hoss Delgado in The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Kraven the Hunter in Ultimate Spider-Man, Warp Darkmatter in Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, Hercules: The Animated Series (1998-99), and the titular Android of the Batman Beyond (1999, in which he voiced the part of Zeta) animated series spin-off, The Zeta Project (2001-02).
Bader made guest appearances on NBC-TV's Quantum Leap and an amusing guest spot on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as a white man who marries one of Will Smith's other aunts (though his role was played by another actor in subsequent episodes).
In 2014, Bader appeared in the role of recurring actor Bill Ericsson in the comedy series Veep. In 2015, he received a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination in the category Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for this work. [2] In 2016, he starred in the "It's the Obvious Choice" series of Time Warner Cable television commercials.[3]
